An organizational meeting was held at Khowai Congress Bhavan on Monday afternoon at the initiative of the Teliamura District Congress Committee. The meeting was led by Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Ashish Kumar Saha. At this meeting, organized with the aim of increasing the party's organizational strength and developing the backward tribal community, a total of 134 voters from 26 families joined the Congress after breaking away from the BJP and IPFT (Motha).

The meeting was attended by Teliamura District Congress President Pradyut Bhattacharya, Pradesh Congress General Secretary and Tribal Congress Chairman Shabad Kumar Jamatia, Pradesh Congress Secretary Kartik Debnath, Pradesh Congress member and former teacher Paritosh Das, senior leader of the Lawyers Cell Nani Gopal Debnath, tribal leader Shivcharan Debbarma, women's district president Smt. Jamatiya and other leaders. Speaking to reporters in this regard, Ashish Saha said, "The people of Tripura are fed up with the false promises of the BJP and Matha." People are now coming together under the Congress flag in the hope of change. "Congress is carrying the message of peace, development and unity in the state." The new members of the meeting were formally welcomed with bouquets of flowers and Congress flags.
