A state-level conference on emergency blood services and life-saving initiatives was held on Saturday at Nazrul Kalakshetra in the state capital.
The event was inaugurated by the Governor of the state, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, who was present as the chief guest. Also present were West District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar and others. During the programme, individuals with rare blood groups were felicitated.
While addressing the gathering, the Governor said that donating blood does not cause any harm to the human body. Through natural physiological processes, the donated blood is replenished in the body within a few days. He appealed to everyone to come forward and actively participate in blood donation.
