When he called a second time, another young man answered and informed him that Prabir Shil was being assaulted and that his scooter had been vandalized. He further said that the incident was taking place in the Tufania Lunga area in front of the Kalibazar Electricity Department office.
Upon receiving the information, Pranab Shil immediately rushed to the spot. They found Prabir Shil lying on the road in a critically injured condition and took him to GB Hospital. On Sunday night, while undergoing treatment at GB Hospital, Zomato delivery boy Prabir Shil succumbed to his injuries.
On Monday, standing in front of the GB Hospital morgue, the victim’s father Pranab Shil stated that he did not know why his son had gone to the Kalibazar area. However, during treatment, his son had told him that a person named Badu Bhai had misled him and taken him to that place. He also mentioned the names of a few others, but could not say anything more. The father further stated that there were injury marks all over his son’s body.
