At the conference hall of the National Fish Farm in Muhuripur, South District, an event was organized by the Kakulia Forest Department and managed by the Katalia JFMC for the distribution of educational materials, winter garments, and blankets. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Hon’ble Minister of the Cooperative Department, Shuklacharan Noatia.
Among others present were Jolaibari Panchayat Samiti Chairman Tapas Dutta, Jolaibari Block Advisory Chairman Ashok Mog, former South Pilak District Secretary Bikash Baidya, noted social worker Sujit Dutta, South District Forest Officer Gaurav Ravindra Wagh, Range Officer Shekhar Lodh, Beat Officer Abhijit Das, and other officials.
On this day, school bags, notebooks, pens, and other study materials were distributed to a total of 56 students. Additionally, winter garments were distributed to 45 underprivileged people of the area.
In his speech, Minister Shuklacharan Noatia urged everyone to protect forest resources. He also requested people to plant more trees in greater numbers.
