Atal Smriti Knockout Cricket Tournament to be held at Khayerpur.

On the occasion of the birth centenary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna awardee late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Khayerpur Mandal Committee is going to organise the Atal Smriti Cricket Tournament this year. This knockout cricket tournament will begin on January 26 at the Rajbari Ground in Khayerpur.


A total of 64 teams will participate in the tournament. The entry fee has been fixed at ₹4,000 per team. The champion team will be awarded a car, while the runners-up team will receive a bike. A Man of the Match award will be presented in every match, and there will also be a Man of the Series award.

The tournament is being organised by the Khayerpur Mandal Committee with the cooperation of Youth Morcha workers. This information was shared by local MLA Ratan Chakraborty during a press conference held on Wednesday at Geetabitan Hall in Khayerpur.


He further stated that several dignitaries, including the state’s Sports Minister and the State President of the Youth Morcha, along with other leaders, will be present at the tournament. MLA Ratan Chakraborty appealed for everyone’s cooperation to make the cricket tournament a success.
