There was an overwhelming response in Matripalli, Badharghat, surrounding the cricket tournament.

On Sunday, the Friends Premium League 2026 Season Two was held at the Agriculture Ground in Matripalli, Badharghat, in the state capital. The cricket tournament was inaugurated by MLA and State Youth Morcha President Sushanta Deb. Several renowned cricketers of the state were present at the tournament.

The Friends Premium League 2026 Season Two has been launched with the objective of keeping the youth of the state away from the menace of drug addiction. Before the start of the matches, the MLA and the eminent cricketers interacted with the players.

While inaugurating the tournament, MLA and State Youth Morcha President Sushanta Deb said that the objective of the cricket tournament is noble. He stated that youth from every part of the state want to make Tripura a drug-free state. He also mentioned that last year he had raised a slogan—“Leave addiction behind, let us go to the playground.” This slogan received an overwhelming response in Bishalgarh.

He further added that to free oneself from addiction, physical exercise, sports, cultural activities, and spiritual practices are absolutely essential.
