Before the end of the current financial year, Fisheries Minister Sudhanshu Das has directed that the work on the project be completed.

Before the end of the current financial year, Minister of Animal Resource Development and Fisheries, Sudhanshu Das, has issued clear instructions to officials of the concerned departments to ensure that the work on various budget-allocated projects is completed within the stipulated time. He gave these directives on Tuesday during a review meeting held at the Khowai District Collectorate Conference Hall, where the functioning of the Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department, Fisheries Department, and Animal Resource Development Department was evaluated.


The Minister emphasized that completing projects within the deadline would make it easier to secure funding for future projects, ensuring that government benefits reach even the most marginalized sections of society. He also stressed the importance of raising public awareness about various state and central government projects implemented by these three departments.


During the review of the Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department, the Minister instructed that officials must ensure no delays or complications occur in the disbursement of stipends to students.


While discussing the Fisheries Department, Minister Das highlighted the need to increase the number of water bodies, expand fish farming through renovation of old ponds, and release more fish fingerlings into various water bodies. He also underscored the importance of training fish farmers in scientific aquaculture practices. The Minister called for coordination with local representatives to quickly resolve area-specific issues and stressed completing all departmental work within the scheduled timeframe.
