Just as the state is witnessing a stir over the seizure of narcotics, the Jatrapur police station has set a new precedent for great success. Based on information received from confidential sources, the police force led by Jatrapur Police Station OC Siti Kanta Bardhan conducted a special operation in the Nidaya Gangkul area on Wednesday. During the operation, a large quantity of Yaba tablets were recovered from the house of Kamrul Mia (age approximately 28, father Farid Mia). A total of 15,000 Yaba tablets were found packed in 10 packets, with a total weight of about 162 grams and a market value of approximately 75,000 taka. Police arrested the accused Kamrul Mia from the scene and brought him to the police station. Initial interrogation revealed that the recovered narcotic tablets were collected for smuggling through the border area. Jatrapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Siti Kanta Vardhan said, "The anti-drug campaign will continue in the coming days." Our main goal is to eradicate drugs from the society.” The incident has created a huge stir in the area. Local residents have welcomed the police initiative and called for stricter measures to create a drug-free society.
