Collision between a bike and two autos at Bagmara Hospital Chowmuhani, Seven injured, two in critical condition.

At least seven people were injured in a head-on collision involving a bike and two auto-rickshaws at Bagmara Hospital Chowmuhani in Udaipur. Among the injured are six elderly men and women.


According to local sources, six elderly passengers from Palatana and Shalgara areas were travelling in an auto-rickshaw to attend a Vaishnav religious service. On the way, at Bagmara Hospital Chowmuhani along the National Highway, their auto collided head-on with a motorcycle and another passenger auto-rickshaw.


Fire service personnel rescued the injured, who were bleeding profusely, and took them to Gomati District Hospital. After providing first aid, doctors referred two of them to GB Hospital in Agartala, as their condition was critical. The remaining five are undergoing treatment in the surgical ward of Gomati District Hospital.

Police arrived at the scene and have begun an investigation. Meanwhile, local residents have complained that road accidents are increasing alarmingly in the Udaipur subdivision area, often resulting in fatalities. They have also raised questions about the role and efficiency of the police in ensuring road safety.
