“Dead body of a man recovered in West Charakbai area.”

According to the details of the incident, on Thursday Baikhora Police Station received information that Kartik Dhar (45) of West Charkbai West Para had died by suicide by hanging in his own residence.

When the police reached the spot, they found that the family members had already taken down the hanging body before their arrival. Later, Baikhora Police took the body to the Baikhora Primary Health Centre for post-mortem examination.

Describing the incident, the officer-in-charge of Baikhora Police Station said that, according to the family members, Kartik Dhar had been suffering from mental issues for a long time. Hence, it is assumed that he may have taken the drastic step due to mental illness.

However, the police said that the actual cause of death will be known after the post-mortem report. Baikhora Police have already begun an investigation to determine the exact reason behind the death.
