A new sign of political bridge-building emerged in Tripura on Friday. The meeting between Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma has become the center of political discussion across the state. Both leaders described the dialogue as “positive,” “constructive,” and “visionary for the future.”
After the meeting, Pradyot Debbarma told reporters that the discussions focused on the overall development and welfare of the people of Tripura. He said, “We shared our views for the comprehensive progress of the state. The atmosphere was friendly and positive. I hope such dialogues will continue in the future.”
He made it clear that no electoral strategy or alliance issues were discussed. “This was not a political discussion but a developmental one. Talks on the Tiprasa Accord are progressing. Our goal is not to look back at the past but to find solutions for the future,” Pradyot Debbarma stated.
Before the meeting, he had said that the purpose of his conversation with the Chief Minister was to strengthen peace, harmony, and coexistence in the state. “We want to work together for the state’s development while maintaining unity between tribal and non-tribal communities,” said the Tipra Motha chief.
According to political observers, this meeting between Pradyot Debbarma and the Chief Minister could have a significant impact on Tripura’s future political landscape. With discussions on the Tiprasa Accord gaining momentum, this cordial meeting is being seen as the beginning of a new chapter in the state’s politics.
