Bishalgarh police recovered cannabis and other narcotic substances from the houses of Suman Biswas, Prosenjit Biswas, and Samarjit Biswas in Kanu Namah Para. During the operation, the police also seized three motorcycles from a cannabis cultivator’s house.

While returning from the operation, the police vehicle was suddenly stopped by Rashtrawadi leader Krishnajeet Banik, who claimed that one of the seized motorcycles belonged to him. The OC of Bishalgarh police station immediately got out, apprehended the leader, and instructed him to get into the police vehicle. However, once his identity was revealed, the OC released him.

This has raised serious questions: why was a leader’s motorcycle present at the house of a drug dealer? The incident is prompting scrutiny regarding possible connections between political figures and narcotics activities.
