Four killed, two injured in a horrific road accident in the Sidongchhara area under Kumarghat Police Station.

According to the details of the incident, on Friday a horrific collision took place between a 12-wheeler lorry bearing registration number TR-1AU-1756 and an electronic auto-rickshaw bearing number TR-02-C-3991.
In the accident, the auto-rickshaw driver Bhaskar Goswami (45), a resident of North Pabiacharra, was killed on the spot.
The other deceased are:
Kanchana Chakma (55), resident of the Mashli Shibbari, Sharatkar Bari area
Harishankar Debtata (52), resident of the Mashli area
Garimili Chakma, also a resident of the Mashli area
The injured are:
Jatrabathi Chakma (42), resident of the Mashli area
Mayarani Debnath (55), resident of Pecharthal
After receiving primary treatment at Kailashahar District Hospital, Mayarani Debnath was referred by doctors to Silchar, outside the state, for advanced treatment.
Following the accident, the lorry driver fled the scene.This heart-rending incident has cast a pall of deep mourning over the entire area. In recent times, road accidents have been occurring frequently in Unakoti district, showing no sign of abating.
