Illegal Saw Mill and Generator Seized in Forest Department Raid at Uttam Bhakta Choumuhani, Bishalgarh

Across the Bishalgarh sub-division, the rampage of forest bandits has been increasing. Acting on a tip-off, Vijoy Ghosh — in charge of the Jampuizla Forest Protection Unit of the Forest Department — led a raid using various tactics and struck deep into the forested area of Uttam Bhakta Choumuhani. Forest staff raided the spot and recovered an illegal item and another object (the original text is unclear about the exact recovered items). The forest bandits fled the scene.

It has only been a few days since Vijoy Ghosh took charge, and he has already launched operations at multiple locations across the Bishalgarh sub-division. Some local youths, reportedly wearing the saffron dress of the ruling party, have become involved in illegal activities. Under cover of night they are cutting forest produce and illegally smuggling it to market.

Declaring a war on these criminals, forest department officer Vijoy Ghosh said he will protect the forest resources even if it costs him his life.
