At an event organized by the School Education Department on Friday at Rabindra Centenary Bhavan, financial assistance was provided to 200 meritorious secondary and higher secondary students of the state under the Chief Minister’s Scholarship for Achievers Toward Higher Learning project. Sharma, Director of Elementary Education Rajib Dutta, official L. Dalong, along with students from various schools and their guardians.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has courageously introduced a new National Education Policy in the country. The new education policy has been implemented with the objective of developing creativity, skill development, and the thoughts and consciousness of students. The Chief Minister said that the state government is working under the guidance of the Prime Minister. Work for Aryabhatta University has already begun in the North District. Construction of Mata Tripura Sundari Open University has also started in Udaipur. Fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people of Nalchar, a women’s college has been approved. In a recent Cabinet meeting, decisions were taken to upgrade TIT into a Technical University and the Women’s College into a Women’s University.

The aim of the project is to motivate students, inspire others through their achievements, and most importantly, create a healthy competitive environment among students. He added that several steps are being taken one after another to strengthen the state’s education system. He further said that it will not be possible to build a “Developed Tripura” without the participation of students.
