Mass Diabetes Detection Camp Held in Agartala on World Diabetes Day

The Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura, in collaboration with Bharat Ratna Sangha and supported by the Department of Health, Government of Tripura, organized a mass diabetes detection and free blood sugar testing camp on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. The programme was held at the Bharat Ratna Sangha club premises.

Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder formally inaugurated the camp in the presence of former MLA Dr. Dilip Das, Dr. Pradip Bhowmik, Club Secretary Chandan Chakraborty, and other club members.

Speaking at the event, Mayor Majumder said the state government has accorded high priority to strengthening the health sector. He noted that major medical facilities and overall health infrastructure in Tripura have significantly improved in recent years. The Mayoralso lauded Bharat Ratna Sangha for its ongoing social service initiatives and contribution to community welfare.

The camp witnessed active participation from local residents, who availed themselves of the opportunity for free diabetes screening and awareness.
