Mysterious death of a middle-aged woman after being burnt alive.

According to local sources, as usual, on Thursday morning, Sri Krishna Das went out for his morning walk. Around 6 a.m., after he had left, residents suddenly noticed flames near the gate of his house. Rushing to the spot, they saw his wife, Dipti Das, engulfed in flames. Moments later, she stumbled out of the house, severely burnt.

The locals immediately informed her husband, who ran back home only to find his wife lying on the ground, badly charred. Overwhelmed with grief, he broke down in tears. The fire department was alerted, and firefighters quickly arrived, rescuing her and taking her to Udaipur Gomati District Hospital, where doctors sadly declared her dead on arrival.

Upon receiving the news, officers from Radhakishorepur Police Station and the Tripura State Forensic Team arrived at the scene and began their investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that the woman might have poured kerosene on herself and set herself ablaze. However, police are also probing other possible causes. The body has been sent to Gomati District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination.

The tragic incident has cast a shadow of grief over the entire Rajarbag area. Locals described Dipti Das as a quiet and gentle woman who rarely stepped out of her home. Her sudden and tragic death has left the community deeply shocked and saddened.
