Ninth success of Jatrapur Police Station on the path toward a drug-free Tripura

As winter approaches, cannabis plants are reaching full maturity — and at just this time, Jatrapur Police Station has achieved yet another success. On Tuesday morning, under the active initiative of Jatrapur Police, a major cannabis destruction operation was conducted in the Nidaya-Tindhepa area.


Present at the operation were Officer-in-Charge Siti Kant Bardhan, Sub-Inspector Pritam Dutta, along with other police personnel and TSR (Tripura State Rifles) members. According to reports, more than 5,000 cannabis plants spread across five to six plots were destroyed.

In an exclusive statement, Sub-Inspector Pritam Dutta said:

“This anti-narcotics operation will continue in the coming days. Our goal is to build a drug-free Tripura.”

This marks the ninth consecutive successful operation by Jatrapur Police Station, bringing relief and happiness among local residents. Meanwhile, drug peddlers have been thrown into disarray — sleepless nights seem to have begun for them.With repeated successes, Jatrapur Police Station has now become a shining example across Tripura in the fight against drug abuse.
