The network of arms smuggling has once again surfaced in Tripura. On Monday night, acting on a secret tip-off, AD Nagar Police conducted an operation near the Bangeswar Bridge area on the Amtali Bypass and recovered two sophisticated pistols and four magazines. At the same time, three young arms smugglers were arrested.

According to police sources, one of the arrested individuals is from Bihar. They reportedly entered Tripura on Monday by train with these weapons. Based on confidential information, the police had already been keeping a close watch. Upon receiving information about the recovery of the arms, West Tripura Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, Additional SP Dhruva Nath, and Amtali SDPO Parmita Pandey rushed to the spot.
