Once Again, Local Miscreants Wreak Havoc at an Anganwadi Centre Under the Cover of Night..

Allegations have surfaced that miscreants have once again damaged the educational infrastructure and environment of the West Pilak Anganwadi Centre, located under the Jolaibari Assembly Constituency.

According to sources, for quite some time now, the area surrounding the Anganwadi centre has become a regular hangout spot for local miscreants after dark. Under the guise of social gatherings, they reportedly indulge in drinking and other antisocial activities. As a result, the situation has been deteriorating day by day.

On Monday morning, when the Anganwadi worker opened the centre as usual, she was shocked to find the walls smeared with cow dung — an act of vandalism that completely ruined the educational atmosphere of the centre.

Upon receiving the news, Bapan Kar, the Supervisor of the ICDS Department, Jolaibari, rushed to the spot. Expressing his disappointment, he said, “This is an extremely unfortunate incident. The repeated acts of vandalism at this centre are unacceptable. A written complaint will be lodged today with the Jolaibari Outpost by the concerned department and local well-wishers to ensure such incidents are not repeated.”

Now, all eyes are on the administration to see what steps will be taken against this disgraceful act of vandalism at an educational institution.
