On Sunday, an organizational meeting of the Bonomalipur Block Congress was held at the State Congress Bhavan. The meeting was attended by State Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha.
Speaking to the media, Ashish Kumar Saha stated that the ruling BJP has taken to the streets using the song Vande Mataram as a means to divert public attention from the country’s current state of distress and crisis. He emphasized that the Indian National Congress does not need any lesson from anyone about respecting Vande Mataram, but alleged that both the central and state BJP governments are using this patriotic song as a tool of division.
He further added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speeches clearly reveal the BJP’s intention to spread divisive and polarizing politics across the nation. “That is why today, inspired by the call of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the common people of the country have taken to the streets to stand up against the present government,” Saha said.
