Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha said this while participating in the “Sardar 150 Unity March” organized at the foot of the Gandhi statue near the Circuit House in Agartala. Speaking to the media, Dr. Saha said that on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, various activities have been organized in every state to remember him—especially his contribution to the nation and his tireless efforts to protect India’s sovereignty.
The Chief Minister said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel also worked to unite all the states of the country. From 1947 to 1949, Sardar Patel dedicated himself to national unity. To honor him and his contributions to the country, a series of activities have been arranged. Debate competitions have also been organized at school and college levels. Dr. Saha further informed that he will be visiting Gujarat tomorrow, where he will participate in a march. All Chief Ministers have been invited to join the march in Gujarat, and various matters will be discussed. Many young people are still not well aware of his legacy, and it is important for the youth to know about his contributions to the nation. There are conspiracies underway to disrupt the unity of the country, and the government is keeping a strict watch on these issues.
The Chief Minister further said that the state government has provided over 20,000 jobs in Tripura and more job opportunities will be created in the coming days. This process will continue.
Among those present at the event were Youth and Sports Minister Tinku Roy, West Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati-in-charge Biswajit Seal, Padma Shri Dipa Karmakar, PK Chakraborty of the Information & Cultural Affairs Department, West District Magistrate Vishal Kumar, Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, and Director of ICA Bimbisar Bhattacharjee, along with other distinguished guests.
