“Police and BSF raid the house of a cannabis dealer.”

Acting on a tip-off, Sonamura Police, along with the 81 BN BSF, conducted a joint raid and detained one drug peddler from Kalapania, Shalkhet under Sonamura Police Station. A total of 30.170 kg of dry cannabis was seized from him, which was stored inside a blue plastic drum.

Along with the drugs, a white Hyundai Aura bearing registration number TR-03Q-0568 was also seized. It is reported that this vehicle was being used for transporting narcotic substances.

During the initial interrogation, the names of several individuals from the area surfaced. Police are investigating the matter, and based on evidence, they too will be brought under the purview of the law.

A case has been registered against the accused at Sonamura Police Station under the NDPS Act. It is suspected that more arrests from the Sonamura area may follow in connection with this case.
