The joint operation led by Bishalgarh subdivision police officer IPS Vikash Senthia and Bishalgarh police station OC Bijoy Das has struck terror into all cannabis growers in the Bishalgarh police station area — once again, a successful anti-cannabis operation under IPS Vikash Senthia.
Reports say that at about 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, IPS Vikash Senthia, OC Bijoy Das of Bishalgarh police station and a joint force, accompanied by many personnel, launched an operation to destroy cannabis plants on remote hill plots in Banshibari ADC village — the Bel Bari and Barkuchi areas of the Bishalgarh PS jurisdiction. The day’s anti-cannabis team included IPS Vikash Senthia (Bishalgarh subdivision police officer), OC Bijoy Das (Bishalgarh PS), the district intelligence unit from Sipahijala, CRPF, TSR Battalion No. 11, and Women TSR Battalion No. 14.

The joint team entered the remote hill tracts and began successive drives to destroy cannabis gardens. Cannabis cultivators watched from the distant jungle as police moved from hill to hill. During the operation the police team destroyed cannabis plants across 45 plots, removing more than one lakh (100,000+) cannabis plants. After the destruction drive, IPS Vikash Senthia told the media that many more cannabis gardens have grown up in the Bishalgarh PS area, but all of them will be uprooted by the police administration.

The subdivision police officer also warned local farmers not to get involved in illegal cannabis cultivation, saying those who do will face serious consequences.
