Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman launched a Civil Services Scholarship in his father’s name.

The ADC administration has arranged training for students from both tribal and non-tribal communities in the ADC areas to prepare for the IAS and TCS examinations. TIPRA Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman distributed Civil Services Scholarships to the selected candidates for this training. A total of 45 selected students received the scholarships.

A ceremony was organized at Manikya Enclave in the capital to mark the occasion. Present at the event were TIPRA Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman, the state’s Minister of State Brishaketu Debbarma, and several others.

Speaking at the event, Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman stated that most of the funding for the training is being provided by him as scholarships in the name of his late father, while the remaining portion will be borne by the ADC administration. He further mentioned that retired IAS officer C.K. Jamatia selected the 45 students through interviews, representing both tribal and non-tribal communities. He extended his best wishes to the selected candidates for their success.

Later, while speaking to the media, Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman also reacted to his proposed meeting with Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha, saying that a discussion together would be beneficial for the state. He expressed hope that such a meeting would send a positive message among people of both communities.
