Recently, a youth named Akash Debnath from the Radhanagar area spread defamatory remarks on social media against the Radhamadhav Unnayan Sangha. He claimed that Radhamadhav Unnayan Sangha and one of its club officials were involved in drug trafficking. The post went viral on social media, causing a negative impact in the locality.

On Wednesday, club members held a press conference at the Sangha office to protest the incident. They stated that Radhamadhav Unnayan Sangha has always been actively campaigning against drug abuse. Club members have handed over several drug peddlers to the police, and even local drug users have been reported to the authorities. In such a situation, a group from the area has started spreading false allegations against the club and its members through various platforms.

The members further clarified that the recent defamatory remarks made on social media about Bhaskar Chakraborty of the club are completely baseless. Bhaskar Chakraborty is neither the secretary nor the president of the club—he is simply an active member. They urged local residents not to believe such misinformation.

At the press conference, Akash Debnath, the youth who had made the defamatory comments on social media, was also present. He admitted that he made those statements under the influence of drugs and acknowledged that he should not have spoken that way about Radhamadhav Unnayan Sangha. He also expressed deep regret for making comments about Bhaskar Chakraborty.

The spread of such defamatory content on social media about Radhamadhav Unnayan Sangha and its members has led to adverse reactions among the locals. At the press conference, it was announced that the Sangha’s anti-drug campaign will continue in the coming days.
