On Friday, the Department of Industries and Commerce launched two schemes with the objective of making those associated with the state’s industries self-reliant. The schemes are the Tripura RAMP Transport Incentive Scheme and the Tripura RAMP Loan Partial Repayment Incentive Scheme. On this occasion, a programme was organised at Pragya Bhavan.
The Minister for Industries and Commerce of the state government, Santana Chakma, was present as the chief guest and inaugurator of the programme. The Chairman of TIDC, Nabadal Banik, departmental officials, and others were also present. The two schemes were formally inaugurated by Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Later, while addressing the media about the benefits of the schemes, the minister said that these two schemes have been launched specifically for micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs of the state. As a result, MSME entrepreneurs will be able to transport their manufactured goods to other states easily at a lower transportation cost. At the same time, the Tripura RAMP Loan Partial Repayment Incentive Scheme will play a special role in encouraging and motivating producers associated with industries.
The minister further stated that these two schemes have been introduced with the aim of ensuring that micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs become self-reliant.
It is noteworthy that both schemes are initiatives supported by the World Bank. Their main objective is to encourage micro, small, and medium industrial enterprises by improving access to market finance and technology.
