The Indian National Congress launched a nationwide signature campaign titled “Vote Thief, Throne Thief.”Following the instructions of Rahul Gandhi, this mass signature collection drive began across India on 15 September. Along with the rest of the country, the Pradesh Congress in the state also organized this signature campaign. A total of 2,13,109 signatures were collected from the state.


On Wednesday, copies of these collected signatures were sent by post from the Pradesh Congress to the national headquarters of the Indian National Congress in Delhi. Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha, MLA Birajit Sinha, and other leaders of the Pradesh Congress were present at the main post office in Agartala during this occasion. President Ashish Kumar Saha shared this information with the media. He stated that a large number of signatures were collected from the tribal areas of the state as well. Signatures were also collected from every Assembly constituency in the state.


The Pradesh Congress President further added that the state Congress in-charge Saptagiri Ulaka and the All India Congress Committee Secretary Christopher Tilak provided special support during this campaign. He extended his congratulations to these two national leaders for their cooperation.
