According to the incident report, at Baikhora English Medium Higher Secondary School — located a short distance from Baikhora Police Station under Shantirbazar subdivision — some unidentified individuals wrote various messages on the school walls using the name of SFI (Students’ Federation of India). When students arrived at school on Thursday, they noticed the writings.

Subsequently, the students submitted a written deputation to Officer-in-Charge Bishnu Chandra Das of Baikhora Police Station, demanding that those attempting to disrupt the school’s environment be identified and punished.

Meanwhile, the students’ guardians, along with Keshab Chowdhury, Vice Chairman of the Jolaibari Block Panchayat Samiti, also met with the Officer-in-Charge to press the same demand for identifying and punishing the culprits.

It is being alleged that miscreants are trying to disturb the peaceful environment of the Baikhora area. Questions are being raised about the role of the police, as such activities are taking place so close to the Baikhora Police Station. Reportedly, the police at Baikhora Station remain largely inactive — a clear example of their negligence. Locals further allege that Officer-in-Charge Bishnu Chandra Das frequently leaves the station at night and returns to his residence in Agartala, allowing miscreants to carry out thefts and other criminal activities with ease.

Now, the key question remains — how capable will the Baikhora Police be in identifying and taking action against the culprits?
