During routine police patrol on Saturday night, police from the Bamutia Police Outpost rescued two individuals from the Bamutia Bazar area under the jurisdiction of the Bamutia Police Outpost and took them to the Bamutia Primary Health Centre. Later that same night, both injured persons were referred from the Bamutia Primary Health Centre to GBP Hospital.
A Super Splendor motorcycle bearing registration number TR 01 V 7687 was recovered from the spot. In this connection, the Second Officer of the Bamutia Police Outpost, Sub-Inspector Nripendra Jamatia, stated that while he was on night patrol in the area, he noticed the accident-hit motorcycle and found two persons lying on the ground nearby. The police immediately rescued them and took them to the hospital.
Speaking to the media, Sub-Inspector Nripendra Jamatia provided detailed information about the incident. It is worth mentioning that although police are meant to serve the people, such humane actions by the police come to light from time to time. This is one such incident from Bamutia, where instead of waiting for the fire service or an ambulance, the police themselves rescued the accident victims and rushed them to the hospital.
According to preliminary assessment, it is suspected that the accident occurred due to the victims’ ill health combined with excessive cold weather.
