Christmas Day celebrated at Tuithampui area of Teliamura subdivision on the occasion of Christmas..

On the occasion of Christmas, one of the most important festivals of the Christian community, Christmas Day was celebrated on Thursday with religious solemnity and heartfelt devotion at St. Joseph’s Church, located in the Tuithampui area of Teliamura subdivision.

Among those present at the programme were State Minister for Tribal Welfare Bikash Debbarma, former minister Mebar Kumar Jamatia, and other invited guests.

During the event, Minister Bikash Debbarma and former minister Mebar Kumar Jamatia jointly cut a cake, sharing in the joy of Christmas and extending “Merry Christmas” greetings to everyone present. A large number of people, irrespective of religion and caste, participated in the celebrations amid a festive atmosphere at the church premises.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Bikash Debbarma said that the ideals of Lord Jesus convey messages of humanity, peace, and love. He prayed that Lord Jesus would keep people from all sections of society physically and mentally healthy and further strengthen the bonds of mutual harmony and brotherhood.

Throughout the programme, the St. Joseph’s Church premises resonated with peace, a sense of fraternity, and the joy of the festive occasion.
