A woman from Khayerpur was caught by police near the Trisha Bari area adjacent to Teliamura Railway Station with brown sugar worth over ₹7 lakh. Regarding the incident, Teliamura Police Station OC Jayanta Dey stated that, acting on specific and credible information, a special operation was conducted in the railway station area. The woman was detained on suspicion, and upon searching her, brown sugar valued at more than ₹7 lakh was recovered. She was then taken into custody as per legal procedures.

Police have claimed that a detailed investigation into the entire incident is underway and that all necessary legal measures are being taken, according to OC Jayanta Dey. The arrest of a housewife at the railway station while attempting to smuggle narcotics has certainly created a stir in the area.
