Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the widening and four-laning project of Boulevard Road from Nehru Park to Kral Sangri in Srinagar.
Addressing a large public meeting, the Chief Minister said that if this project is implemented, traffic congestion in the city will be greatly reduced, road safety will increase, and travel will be smoother, more environmentally friendly, and more pleasant for local residents and tourists.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdhury, Chief Minister's Advisor Nasir Sogami, and MLAs from Khaniyar, Hazratbal, Jadibal, and Chanapora constituencies.
