Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a scathing attack on the BJP and the NDA government in the Begusarai constituency on Saturday. He alleged that the NDA governments at the Centre and Bihar are creating divisions among the people and are busy profiting from votes in the name of false nationalism.
Priyanka said from a public meeting in Begusarai during her first election campaign in Bihar, "There is no two-wheeler government in Bihar, everything is being controlled from Delhi." He further claimed that instead of development in the state under the NDA rule, the politics of vote theft and division is being carried out.Alleging that voters' names were being deleted in the name of Special Electoral Roll Amendment (SIR), Priyanka said, "Excluding names from the voter list means taking away people's rights. Earlier it divided people, now it is robbing democracy by stealing votes."
Taking a dig at the BJP, the Congress leader said, "BJP leaders are busy criticizing Nehruji and Indiraji, but do not want to face real problems like unemployment, migration, and price hikes." "They are just trying to confuse people by playing divisive politics."
Expressing anger over Bihar's backwardness, Priyanka said, "Bihar's contribution to the country's progress is outstanding, yet the state has not received the development it deserves. Don't forget about the government's promises."
He also accused the Prime Minister, saying, "Under the NDA regime, state-owned enterprises are being handed over to corporate friends. The country's resources are being looted in the name of privatization."
Priyanka's statement makes it clear that in the Bihar election campaign, Congress is trying to attack the BJP-led government by raising the issue of divisive politics and economic inequality.
