Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda has stated that India’s exports of AYUSH and herbal products increased by more than six percent in the last financial year. In 2023–24, the value of these exports stood at USD 649 million, which rose to over USD 688 million in 2024–25.

In a social media post, the Minister said that the establishment of the AYUSH Export Promotion Council has provided fresh momentum. It has strengthened international demand for India’s traditional medicine and herbal products and expanded their presence in global markets.

The Minister further said that this achievement serves as a strong boost for India’s traditional healthcare sector. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s thousands-of-years-old wellness heritage is reaching new markets across the world.
