Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said that organizing society is extremely important for the overall development of the country. He made these remarks today at a programme held at Science City in Kolkata to mark the completion of 100 years of the RSS.
Dr. Bhagwat said that there is a need to organize Hindu society in India. According to him, ordinary people in society tend to follow the conduct and ideals of prominent and influential individuals. Therefore, it is especially important to build a well-organized structure comprising such influential personalities.
The RSS chief clearly stated that the Sangh was not formed in opposition to, or as a reaction against, any individual or organization. The primary objective of the Sangh is to organize society and to perform duties with a sense of responsibility.
He further said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh does not work for personal interests or organizational gains; rather, its main aim is to fulfil its commitment to the welfare of the nation and society.
