The 17th death anniversary of former Chief Minister Sudhir Ranjan Majumder was observed at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan.

On Sunday, the 17th death anniversary of former Chief Minister Sudhir Ranjan Majumder was observed with due respect at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan. He passed away on January 4, 2009. Since then, the day has been commemorated every year with due honor by the Pradesh Congress, and this year too his death anniversary was observed.

Floral tributes were paid to the portrait of Sudhir Ranjan Majumder. The President of the Pradesh Congress, Ashish Kumar, was present on the occasion. He said that Sudhir Ranjan Majumder was a leader who represented the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state. During his tenure as Chief Minister, he provided employment to overage unemployed youth, increased salaries of employees, and carried out various developmental works.
