The Pradesh BJP extended New Year greetings to the people of the state...

From late Wednesday night, the year 2025 became a part of history, and the new year 2026 began its journey. On the occasion of the New Year, the Pradesh BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP, Rajib Bhattacharjee, extended greetings and congratulations to the people of the state.


Addressing a press conference convened at the BJP state office on Thursday, he wished the people of the state good health and long life in the New Year. During the press conference, the Pradesh BJP President presented statistics related to developmental work carried out in tribal areas. He said that in 2025, several public welfare-oriented programmes were implemented for all sections of society, and in the New Year as well, the double-engine government will continue working with the aim of implementing even more people-centric welfare schemes.


The Pradesh BJP President stated that with the objective of expanding primary education in tribal areas, the state government has decided to open 226 Anganwadi centres. Of these, 141 Anganwadi centres have already been made operational, and the remaining centres will be opened by March, he said. He further informed that the government had set a target to provide safe drinking water to 44,865 families in the state, and so far, piped drinking water has been supplied to 38,014 families.


To address mobile network issues in tribal areas, the government has also decided to set up ten new mobile towers.


The Pradesh BJP President further said that during the recently concluded Winter Session of Parliament, the Central Government introduced eight public interest-related bills, among which the G. Ram Ji Bill was notable. He congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all Union Ministers for bringing these public interest bills for the benefit of the people.
