World No. 1 batsman Smriti Mandhana! Indian star's historic achievement in women's ODI rankings

India's Smriti Mandhana has once again created history in women's ODI cricket. The star cricketer has topped the latest ICC Women's ODI Batsmen Rankings.  Her rating points are 828 — almost 100 points higher than Australia's Ashley Gardner, who is in second place. Mandhana's success came on the back of her stellar performance in the recently held ICC Women's Cricket World Cup at home. His brilliant innings of 109 runs against New Zealand and an unbeaten innings of 34 runs against Bangladesh helped him rise to the top. She was named ICC Women's Cricketer of the Month for September 2025. On the other hand, her opening partner Pratika Rawal has also made a big improvement in the rankings. She has moved up to number 27 with 564 points. However, she had to miss the rest of the tournament due to injury. England's Sophie Ecclestone tops the bowlers' list with 747 points. Australia's Alana King has moved up to second place, while her teammate Ash Gardner has slipped to third place.
